... was the only member of Joy Division who was actually born in Macclesfield – or, indeed, Cheshire. Ian Curtis grew up in Macclesfield, but was born at Stretford Memorial Hospital; Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook were both from Salford. Peter Cunningham, the guitarist in New Order, was born in Macclesfield.
You might regard it as rather disingenuous of the question setter to deliberately avoid mentioning Stephen Morris's main claim to fame: that he was the drummer in Joy Division and New Order.
Although it's how Wikipedia describes him in its introduction, you could also argue that "Multi–instrumentalist, composer and record producer" is slightly misleading. Further down the page, Wikipedia says that Stephen Morris "is primarily a percussionist, [but] also plays keyboards and synthesizer."
